What is a homeopathic proving?
A proving is a way of finding out the uniqueness of a substance.
Homeopaths can then use this substance homeopathically once we have discovered its uniqueness picture.
“Every medicine is a teacher disguised as a symptom”
In the process of a proving we collect and group data in a useable format so other homeopaths can make use of these substances.
When clients present with their unique symptom picture, we search our repertory to find the essence of a similar substance.
How do we conduct a proving?
There are several ways we can conduct a proving.
Proving’s need a small group of people.
Traditional homeopathic proving
The group take a substance daily for a few days and they note down any symptoms that arise. Everyone’s symptoms in the group are collected, compared and grouped.
Meditative Proving
Another way to conduct a proving is to meditate on a substance to illicit it’s essence. The participants write notes after the mediation and all the notes would be compared and collated.
Trituration Proving
A trituration proving is where we grind & scrape a substance in a pestle and mortar and observe and note what unfolds to the participants involved. Everything is noted down. Afterwards the notes are collated, compared and key symptoms of the substance arise and a picture forms.
