What is Embodied Homeopathy?

Most of us live predominantly in our heads. We think, analyse, plan and problem-solve — and in doing so, we have little connection to the deeper aspects of the being. Embodied homeopathy is an approach that brings awareness to the root of the issues, highlights imbalances and gently guides us back to wholeness.

When we become still and allow our words to arise from a deeper place within, they come without judgement and without the mind censoring them. The mind creates stories and beliefs that shape our persona — but it is possible to move beneath those stories and let the body speak its own wisdom.

Our bodies communicate with us constantly — through signs, through symptoms, through sensation. Physical symptoms are only the tip of a much larger iceberg. There is so much more beneath the surface waiting to be understood.

"Homeopathy is based on ancient wisdom."

Homeopathy is founded on ancient wisdom that resides within every one of us. We cannot grasp the full enormity of this truth from an intellectual perspective alone. It needs to be known in an embodied way.

"The body is wise beyond measure."

We have grown up in a culture that places enormous value on the intellect. When we live predominantly in our heads, we can begin to feel separate — from others, from ourselves, from the natural world. When we spend more time in our bodies, something shifts. A sense of wholeness arises. We become more connected to self, to others, to our environment. We are not as separate as the mind would have us believe.

Vitality comes from tending not just to the body, but the thoughts that guide it and the spirit that animates it."

Homeopathy addresses us as the unique individuals we are — encompassing mind, body and spirit. It is a medicine that sees the whole person, not just the presenting symptoms.

The importance of understanding our nervous system

Beneath our physical symptoms, our emotional landscape and the way we react to our environment lies something even more fundamental — our nervous system. Understanding how our own nervous system works is the foundation of polyvagal theory. When we begin to understand our own unique nervous system, we naturally develop a deeper understanding of those around us and how we coregulate. Recognising where we are at any given moment helps us maintain or find our way back to equilibrium. Polyvagal mapping is the key to understanding our own nervous system — and it can be life-changing, if we allow it to be

"A thought unexamined becomes a belief; a belief unexamined becomes a cage."

Our culture places great value on knowledge and intellectual understanding. As a result, we can become very identified with our thoughts — believing them to be truth. But our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality in ways we often don't see. An unquestioned mind is rarely a peaceful one. When we learn to question our thoughts — about others, about ourselves — we find our way back to unconditional love. And anything that takes us away from that is, in some for suffering.
