Focusing Circle

What is a Focusing Circle?

A Focusing Circle is a gentle, supportive space to slow down, turn inward, and listen to what’s asking for attention within you. In a world that continually pulls us outward, this is a place to return home.

Through guided Inner Relationship Focusing, you’ll be supported to connect with a felt sense and notice your inner experience with gentle curiosity. There is no fixing or analysing — simply being with what arises and allowing it to unfold at its own pace.

Held within a respectful group setting, the circle offers the experience of being witnessed just as you are. Many people discover fresh insights, a sense of clarity, and the quiet relief that comes from being truly heard — both by themselves and in community.

Inner Relationship Focusing is often practiced in pairs. In a circle, however, something different becomes possible. The energy of the group naturally holds the focusing process, allowing whatever is ready to emerge to do so with greater ease.

Q & A

Q: Do I need any prior knowledge?

No prior knowledge is needed. I will guide you through. It’s similar to meditation but also different.

Q: Who is this for?

People navigating stress, overwhelm, or anxiety, who need a calm, safe space to pause and reconnect.

If you find your feelings or reactions take over, focusing gives you a safe space to pause, tune in, and nurture calmness and clarity.

It’s ideal for over thinkers as it cultivates balance between body and mind.

For those that have inner critics, this is gentle way to give these parts a voice. once they are heard they soften

Focusing is excellent for people wanting to feel more grounded in their body.

People open to gentle self-discovery in a supportive group environment.

Q: What if I’m very in my head?

Focusing is ideal for people who spend a lot of time thinking. Focusing helps you drop into your body and reconnect. Over-thinkers often discover that Focusing provides creative ideas and solutions which arise from being fully present in the body.

Q: I’m not good at meditating will I be able to focus?

Definitely. Unlike meditation, Focusing isn’t about emptying your mind or forcing attention. It’s a body-based, step-by-step practice that guides you to notice and explore your inner experience, gently and safely.

“Every bad feeling is potential energy towards more right way of being if you give it space to move toward its rightness.”

We feel more than we can think, and we live more than we can feel. And if we enter into what we feel in certain genuine steps, we feel more than before. And there is much more still.”
