I was the person sitting across from a practitioner, looking for real answers. I was searching for a medicine that went beyond managing symptoms — and homeopathy found me.
For the first time, someone sat with me for an hour — really listened, asked questions, wanted to understand the full picture. I felt heard.
I had been dealing with PCOS, IBS, chronic respiratory infections and chronic fatigue. My PCOS was so severe I was having only two periods a year. I knew I had to fix it.
Thirty years on, I've been free from all of it. And I have three children.
Homeopathy resonated with me because it is a medicine that treats the whole person; however I didn’t know that at the time.
I had many layers to peel back and a long road ahead. Eventually, I gave in to my curiosity and began to study it. I struggled with self-doubt, but something inside of me knew it was the right decision.
I've come to notice that we tend to attract what will heal us. I see this as part of a deeper intelligence at work.
Today, I weave together the practices that have supported my own healing: trauma-informed embodied homeopathy, Inner Relationship Focusing, and The Work of Byron Katie. Together, these practices continue to support my growth and deepen my relationship with myself.
When our work is an expression of love, it becomes a force for healing — not just for others, but for ourselves. It's how we come home to who we really are. And perhaps that's why we can only ever be truly great at something we genuinely love.
I am a homeopath, an Inner Relationship Focusing facilitator, and a member the Australian Homeopathic Association. I have undertaken courses in Focusing 1 & 2, facilitating The Work of Byron Katie, Depth Psychology and Shamanic Practices, the Thinking Environment, and several Vipassana meditation retreats.
If I think back, I can honestly say I was a hot mess coming out of my teenage years. My physical health was appalling, and my mental and emotional health weren't far behind. My spiritual health was virtually non-existent.
From an early age, I questioned the status quo, often seeing things differently to those around me. I noticed that doctors rarely addressed the root of anyone's issues — I witnessed this firsthand, in myself and in those around me.
There was this knowing within me that there had to be another way — a way that truly got to the core of the problem.
