Welcome….
Homeopathy is a medicine based on the laws of nature. When we know this on a deeper level, we know this to be a deeply transformative and profound medicine. It’s a medicine based on universal truths. When these laws are understood in a deeper archetypal way, we begin to see these laws in nature everywhere.
“Homeopathy is based on Ancient Wisdom.”
To understand what I mean, we need to get out of our heads and know this in an embodied way of knowing. Homeopathy is based upon ancient wisdom that resides in every single one of us. This is because we are a part of nature too. We cannot grasp the sheer enormity of this truth from an intellectual perspective.
“The body is wise beyond measure.”
We have grown up in a culture that puts enormous value on the intellect. When we are in our heads, we believe ourselves to be separate from others. When we spend more time in our bodies, we begin to experience our existence in a deeper and more meaningful way. A sense of wholeness arises and a more connected way of being. We become more connected to self, others and environment. We aren’t separate like the mind thinks us to be.
“Vitality comes from tending not just the body, but the thoughts that guide it and the spirit that animates it”
From an early age I noticed and experienced conventional medicine not resolving mine and my family's health issues. I believed there must be another way. Homeopathy is that way! Homeopathy addresses us as unique individuals that we are and that encompasses mind, body and spirit.
What is the embodied mind?
The embodied mind encompasses head, heart and belly. It’s a balance of head and body. If we become still and allow our words to come from a deeper place within, our words arise without judgement and without the mind censoring them. The mind creates stories and has beliefs that create our persona. It’s possible to bypass the mind and let our bodies speak its wisdom.
Our bodies often talk to us through signs and symptoms. Your symptoms are the tip of the iceberg; there’s so much more to that iceberg than meets the eye.
The importance of understanding our Nervous System
There are our physical symptoms, our emotional landscape, the way we react to our environment and at the very heart of all of these is our nervous system. Having a basic understanding of how our own nervous system works is called Polyvagal Mapping. When we understand our own unique nervous system, we begin to understand everyone else’s around us. Our nervous system is affected by trauma and by recognizing where we are at helps us to maintain equilibrium.
“A thought unexamined becomes a belief; a belief unexamined becomes a cage”.
Our culture focuses heavily on the intellect and promoting the importance of knowledge. As a result, we are a very heady society. When we exist heavily in the mind, we often believe our thoughts. Our thoughts and our beliefs determine our reality. An unquestioned mind is an unhappy mind. Questioning our thoughts about another (or even ourselves) always leads back to unconditional love. Anything other than unconditional love is suffering
